Day of Service

In partnership with Campari, the USBG Foundation is excited to have another year of Day of Service under our belt. 2021 dates will be coming in the future. The goal of this project is to increase our industry's participation in service activities in local communities even in these uncertain and changed times. We are excited to give back across the country!


This year our volunteer activities were safe, socially responsible, virtual activities benefiting both local and national organizations.

This year was a bit different. All activities were online and could be accomplished from the safety of your home, with a computer. All of the activities listed were open to anyone across the country, though some were more locally focused.

Most Activities are National for 2020
Get Loud


Activity: Negroni Week 2020 is all about supporting not-for-profits that serve the hospitality community in times of need. Help these organizations reach potential donors and beneficiaries through your social media platforms and address lists. 


Make Queens Count!


Organizer: Mark Murphy, New York, NY

Activity: Making sure residents of Queens are counted in the 2020 census.


Missing Maps


Organizer: Barri Yanowitz, Baltimore, MD

Activity: Mapathon to help to map areas where humanitarian organizations are trying to meet the needs of vulnerable people.


The Shade Tree

Organizer: Nova Clark, Las Vegas, NV

Activity: Touchless doorstep donation pick up.


Saint City Culinary Foundation


Organizer: Karen Tartt, San Antonio, TX

Activity: Participate in a Vocal iD activity with a focus on culinary and bar language.


Small Kindness Checklist

Activity: ​Sometimes small acts can have a big impact. We know not everyone is able to donate a lot of time on Day of Service, so we have developed a list of acts of service that you can easily do from home. Do just one, do a couple, or tackle them all - up to you.

Activity: Bringing smiles to Senior Care Homes through virtual cards.




Organizer: Maxwell Britten

Activity: Use social media or phone to increase awareness around  the THIRST Group's mission to advocacate for legislation to aid imperiled bars.


Vocal iD


Organizer: Geoffrey Thompson, Boston, MA

Activity: Join others from around the world in sharing the gift of voice through voice recording.
